TechTalk: What's under the cover of the dormakaba ED swing unit?

Pictured below are the main parts and their location under the 70mm height cover of the dormakaba ED100/250 swing operator they are:

1. Connection Unit – Central board where all the connection are made
2. Power supply unit, motor and operator
3. Control board
4. Upgrade card slot- customising the range of functions
5. Operator interface – Easy Set up using informative display
6. Extension option- Integrated UPS emergency power supply

ED100 operates door weights up to 160kg and door widths up to 1100mm. ED250 operates door weights up to 400kg and door widths up to 1600mm.

ED100/250 operators are tested for various fire door applications, including 60-minute fire rated doors, push and pull - contact RTR for more details.
